Becoming Sarai
Blog #1
In the Hebrew Bible, Sarai was the original name of Sarah, wife of Abraham. When her name changed from Sarai (“my princess”) to Sarah (“princess to all”), it symbolized expansion - from belonging to one person or identity, to belonging to herself and the world.
The word ‘Sarai’ is also used to describe roadside inns - resting places for travellers on long journeys.
The theme of my blogs revolves around these two ideas: self-expansion and rest. For anyone craving a pause from the noise of the world - Think of this space as an inn along your life journey: a safe place to rest, to breathe, and to remember yourself.
My words will likely resonate most with introverts, deep thinkers, and feelers - anyone seeking peace amid the noise of the world, social media, and expectations.
Honestly, even if my words reach and help just one person, I’ll be grateful. And if no one stumbles upon them, I’ll still write, because this practice is healing in itself.
I don’t know yet how often I’ll post - I’ll find my rhythm in time. I’m not a professional writer, just a woman learning to speak from truth. I might use AI to polish my words, but the feelings and thoughts are always my own.
If you’ve somehow found your way here, maybe you were meant to pause.
You can keep going later; for now, just be.Until next time, my travellers 🌙
